Milongas

The tangoloft Milonga Weekend not only stands for traditional music and role balance. We are looking for sensitive interaction with one another on the dance floor. Participants should know the common codes and love dancing in the ronda with mutual respect for others. This event is only suitable for experienced social dancers.

• DJ Andrés Molina [Buenos Aires/Paris]
• Andres began his dancing and DJ career in Buenos Aires, where he founded the famous Milonga El Yeite. His mixes are incredibly energetic with contrasting soft lyrical Tandas. Andrés is a charismatic DJ and possesses a profound  knowledge of tango music.

• Iskra is passionate about tango and loves creating a special atmosphere on the dance floor, helping you to find each other, connect and share your emotions through the music and the embrace.

• Shows with Lorena Tarantino & Gianpiero Galdi [Turin] and Natacha Lockwood & Andrés Molina [Buenos Aires]
• DJ Djurdjina Šijakovic Maidanik [Belgrad]
• A pleasant and vibrant flow is a co-creation between the dancers and the DJ. Djurdjina holds the space with a good structure, kind energy, big orchestras, smooth transitions, a touch of contrast, and dynamic cortinas.

Milonga Sunday, 27th October 2024 | 15:00 - 19:00 hrs.

• DJ Gregor Tangonaut [Basel]
• A Tango journey of passion and music. Gregor's love affair with tango began more than 25 years ago. His extensive tango travels have equipped him with a keen understanding of what ignites the dancing spirit in people. This has made him a sought-after DJ in the tango community.

 

Workshops

A varied workshop program with excellent dance couples accompanies the milongas.

Please note that the workshops of the two dance couples take place at the same time in different rooms (so you cannot take part in all 6 workshops!)

Workshops with Gianpiero Galdi & Lorena Tarantino

In 2018 Gianpiero and Lorena begin their partnership, working every day on the flow of their tango connection based on deep mutual understanding. They are constantly developing their precise and effective didactic method, with the aim of providing accurate and meaningful communication tools.

• use of the "alteraciòn" (change of direction) to build variety and flow

• rethinking "adornos": rhythmical techniques for leaders & followers to enrich the dance

• body spirals for rotations, pivots and balance: how coordination and self awareness creates dance opportunities

 

Seminar "Giros" mit Gianpiero Galdi & Lorena Tarantino

Two-part seminar "Giros" | Saturday, 26th October 2024, 11:30 - 13:30 hrs. and Sunday, 27th October 2024, 11:30 - 13:30 hrs.

• In this two-part seminar we will explore what is by many recognized as the "Tango DNA": the Giro (Turn)-pattern. Training exercises, sequences, connection, rhythm and combinations - from the basics of its composition to its geometric and spatial adaptability, we will pass through the fundamentals of the connection and conclude with the fine details of sensation.

Workshops with Natacha Lockwood & Andrés Molina

Natacha and Andrés dance style is original, elegant and very musical - there is no dance without surprising moves, deep feelings and humor! Her lessons are based on precise technique, but at the same time relaxed movements encourage you to leave space and freedom for improvisation.

Conditions of participation, prices & booking

Participents:

The International tangoloft Milonga Weekend is an event for advanced dancers with at least 3-4 years of dance experience, who know the common codes and love to dance respectfully in the Ronda.

Weekend pass for milongas / Early bird discount:

The milongas can only be booked as a "Weekend Pass". The Weekend pass costs € 120,- per person and includes entry to all four milongas (and water, coffee, tea, finger food and snacks). The weekend pass for the milongas can only be booked in pairs (1 leader and 1 follower).

We are providing a contingent of places with an early bird discount of € 20,- (the ticket then costs € 100,- per person). This offer is valid while stocks last.

Workshops & seminar:

The workshops and the seminar can be booked as individual events and independently of the milongas. With the exception of the women's technique workshop, ev can only be booked in pairs (1 leader and 1 follower).

Please note that the workshops of the two dance couples take place at the same time in different rooms (so you cannot take part in all 6 workshops!)

Participation in a workshop with Gianpiero Galdi & Lorena Tarantino costs € 35,- per person. Package deal: Anyone who books all three workshops with both of them will receive a discount of € 15,- per person (will be charged during the booking process).

The two-part seminar "Giros" with Gianpiero & Lorena is only bookable as a complete seminar and costs € 100,- per person.

Participation in a workshop with Natacha Lockwood & Andrés Molina costs € 35,- per person. Package deal: Anyone who books both workshops for couples with Natacha & Andrés will receive a discount of € 10,- per person (will be charged during the booking process).

Technique for followers with Natacha costs € 25,- per person.

Booking procedure

To book the weekend, you must first register. Please go to "mein Konto" in the menu and enter your user information, choose the option "Buchung von Veranstaltungen" to enable the booking function for events.

When you have done this, click the link below, go to the foot of the page and choose what you want to book. You will be led through the booking process.

You will be asked for your personal data as well as the name and email address of your dance partner. This data must be provided for each individual event. Next you choose the payment option. You can either pay with Paypal oder bank transfer (=Vorkasse; please note that you have to pay within 7 days). Be careful not to activate the link "Buchung abbrechen", you will delete your booking, your cart will be emptied and you will have to start again.
